Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, a prince of Afaraukwu Ibeku, is the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a separatist group advocating for the independence of Biafra, a region in southeastern Nigeria. From his base in London, Kanu mobilized widespread support for the Biafran cause, and his efforts have sparked significant political debate and tension within Nigeria.

Kanu is known for his bold political statements, including accusations of international involvement in Nigerian elections, and claims that Boko Haram was used to destabilize the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan. He was arrested and rendered back to Nigeria, where he remains detained by security forces, earning both admiration and criticism for his courage and controversial views.

Eswatini is a country in southern Africa formally called Swaziland. King Mswati officially changed the country name to a native name Eswatini which means the land of the Swazi (Swaziland in English). Eswatini is a country that upholds long standing culture.

King Mswati has for years governed a country of civil unrest due to pro- democracy activities. This had caused disorder in the small country being backed by special group interest, pro-democratic and main Stream media.

A system of an absolute monarchy is ideal for a small country that can still be identified as a Kingdom. A monarchy has a system of rulership that allows inheritance of kingship and without democratic interference is a peaceful systemic way of rulership alike in Great Britain.

Democracy on the other hand has weaknesses that are usually out looked such as a country’s susceptible to manipulation by special group interests, corruption, inaccuracy or ineffective governance, and rigging presidential polls. In 2024 King Mswati governance had two pro-Democracy MPs sentences to long jail term for charges of murder and terrorism. He also issued a ban on unrelenting gatherings concerning pro-democracy movements.

The post 100 Africa’s Game changers: The African International Magazine- January- February- March edition 2025 first appeared on theafricaninternational.org.

Dr. Ludwig Sondashi, a Zambian doctor, is best known for developing the Sondashi Formula (SF 2000), a herbal remedy for the treatment of HIV/AIDS. Since 2000, his formula has been a controversial yet popular alternative treatment for the virus, despite skepticism from the global medical community. Dr. Sondashi remains steadfast in his belief that the Sondashi Formula is a cure, with many people, including government officials, having used it successfully.
